Female Certified Trainers
Attend The Societal Training Project Developmental Workshops
The 1st
Certified Trainers Forum included holding developmental workshops for societal
training programs which was attended by certified female trainers at the Holiday
Inn Hotel.
Through these workshops, the Center aims at reinforcing cooperation
between female trainers from different regions of the Kingdom on one hand, and
between them and the Center, as well as developing the societal training project
for promoting dialogue.
The first workshop on "Developing the Dialogue
Communication Skills Program" was presented by Mrs. Fatima Al Qahtani and Mrs.
Reem Al Umaireeni. It included three subjects; developing training contents of
the kit, developing scientific contents of the kit, and developing linguistic
contents of the kit.
Participants set forth many ideas regarding program
goals, timing and units. Recommendations included: reformulating the main objective,
decreasing secondary objectives ( an objective for each unit ), adding examples
from the Prophet's life on dialogue, deleting figurative stories and replacing
them with real life stories from Arab heritage, reorganizing some activities of
the program.
Moreover, the second workshop on " Certified Trainers' Occupational
Development" was presented by Mrs. Hayat Al Dhaim and Mrs. Mouneera Al Akkas.
It included three subjects; developing the certified trainers' program agenda,
new skills in training, and pioneer experiences in training on promoting dialogue.
Participants
recommended applying and developing the training kit so as to meet needs of all
age groups, extending training hours, presenting and evaluating feedback on training,
developing certified trainers' skills through providing advanced courses.
The
third workshop on "Needs of Dialogue Promoters in Training" was presented by trainers
Amaal Al Moalemi and Mudawi Al Gaith. It dealt with all needs of trainers and
trainees of different age groups and scientific specializations. Moreovers, it
was recommended to prepare and design dialogue skill programs for each age group,
developing those skills through direct interaction and training, and working with
literature clubs, summer centers and charity societies.
Finally, the fourth
workshop on " Financial Environments of Professional Training " presented by Mrs.
Fatimah Al Jarid and Mrs. Abeer Al Shoaibi, discussed elements of professional
training environments, and how to deal with obstacles . Recommendations included
adding detailed articles in agreements with other sectors especially the Ministry
of Education, regulating a clear method in conducting these programs, raising
awareness of the importance of promoting dialogue in working environments, and
easing occupational burdens of certified trainers.
Moreover, Assistant
to Sec-Gen of KACND Mrs. Wafa Al Tuwaijre mentioned that training in the field
of dialogue came as a result from the Kings interest and commitment to promote
dialogue. " In the beginning, training started with the one-day training program
(Developing Communication Skills in Dialogue), which was conducted in all regions
of the Kingdom including all segments of the society and presented by competent
trainers," Al Tuwaijre added. In addition, Mrs. Wafa pointed out that afterwards
the project of training started to expand to include training certified trainers
around the country leading to train 1,200 certified trainers of both sexes who
were successfully able to train more than 150,000 citizens from different sectors
and age groups.
