KACND Participates in an International Symposium on Youth and Future

King AbdulAziz Center for National Dialogue has participated in international symposium held in Tunis on 14-16/1/2010 entitled "Youth and Future: Current Challenges, Capacity Building and Participation Mechanisms". The participation was in a paper done His Excellency Mr. Faisal Bin Muammar the Secretary General. The paper, presented by Dr. Sultan Al-Thaqafi, focused on the role of the Center in enhancing the youth and enabling them from the culture of dialogue. It also went through the general status of youth who form more than 70% of the Kingdom's population. The paper also presented a number of programs carried out by the government that focus youth and their welfare. These programs also aim at providing the requirements of creativity and excellence in the youth, as well as investing in the capacities as in King Abdullah's Scholarship programs. The paper also noted the projects of dialogue and civilization that unites the efforts, specially the youth's, to reach moderation and tolerance. The paper mentioned that launching King AbdulAziz Center for National Dialogue is an unprecedented project that serves the noble case of spreading dialogue and its concepts among the society and establishing it as a habit in all aspects of life.
