H.E. Mr. Shigeru Endo, the Japanese Ambassador in Saudi Arabia. Visited the King AbdulAziz Center for National Dialogue headquarters on Wednesday morning.
The Japanese Ambassador was received by the Vice-Secretary General Dr. Fahad Al-Sultan and the meeting was attended by Dr. Sultan Al-Thaqafi, the Director General of the Cooperation and Cultural Relations Department.
After welcoming H.E. Mr. Shigeru Endo Dr. Al-Sultan presented a detailed explanation of the Center's goals and objectives in spreading the culture of dialogue and providing research and training.
The Vice-Secretary General also presented an overview of the National Meetings held to date, and the Center's efforts in cooperating with different educational and cultural institutions in the Kingdom in order to reach all social groups and establish a culture of dialogue. Other cultural activities such as the Center's "Ambassador" youth program was presented to the Japanese Ambassador, especially the Saudi-Japanese Cross-Cultural Meetings which were held recently.
From his side, H.E. Mr. Shigeru Endo praised the Center's efforts in spreading the culture and concepts of dialogue. He also asserted that nations could only develop through dialogue. In addition, His Excellency mentioned the importance of benefiting from the Center's efforts and continuing this journey led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah Bin AbdulAziz, in spreading dialogue, tolerance and moderation.
The Japanese Ambassador also shared his delight that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is one of the Countries that had achieved a noticeable development in building strong bases of dialogue and culture to deliver its messages in a civilized and humane manner.
