His Excellency Sheikh Abdullah Al-Hussein, the President of the National Meeting for Intellectual Dialogue, has signed a memorandum of understanding with His Highness Prince Faisal Bin Abdullah Al Saud, President of Saudi Scouts, on Wednesday 6th of January, 2010. The signing ceremony was attended by the Secretary General Mr. Faisal Bin Muammar, the Vice-Secretary General Dr. Fahad Al-Sultan, the Director of the Cooperation and Cultural Relations Department Dr. Sultan Al-Thaqafi, and the Director of the International Relations and Dialogue Department Mr. Hatem Al-Arnoos.
The memorandum aims at enhancing and developing the culture of dialogue and spreading it in the society. It also aims at raising cultural and intellectual awareness in dialogue and communication that depends on Islamic beliefs and national invariables.
His Excellency Sheikh Abdullah Al-Hussein has noted that working in the framework of this memorandum will surely contribute in transferring the culture of dialogue to a very important social groups, scouts and volunteer work.
His Highness Prince Faisal Bin Abdullah has expressed his happiness in signing such a memo as it comes inline with the social role the Center plays in spreading the culture of dialogue. H.H. also mentioned that volunteer work is the language of dialogue and a benevolent message that every Muslim should be proud of.
On the other hand, the Secretary General Mr. Faisal Bin Muammar said that KACND strives to widen the circle of cooperation as in the case of the Saudi Arabian Scouts Association. This cooperation aims at attaining the Center's goals and implementing its different programs.
