KACND has launched the "Letters of Dialogue" project which aims to target schools , mosques, and families dialogue can attain its goals of moderation and tolerance as Mr. Faisal Bin Muammar, KACND Secretary General, said in the press conference the Center held on 25th of January, 2010 in Holiday Inn Hotel in the occasion of launching this project.
Mr. Faisal Bin Muammar also added that the Center aims at delivering dialogue concepts for more than 8 million citizens. He considers this project to be one of the most important projects and cultural programs the Center implements. "The Center will focus in the future on women and youth issues," Bin Muammar added. The "Letters of Dialogue" project consists of booklets talking about dialogue in a simplified scientific way. Every booklet is on a different issue that the author discusses in a method that represents the higher goals of dialogue. The series seek spreading the culture of dialogue in all social groups, facilitating cultural movement, and promoting a culture of reading in society.
Bin Muammar called the institutions which signed memorandums of understanding with the Center to comply to these memorandums and activate them. He also stated that the Center is preparing a cultural and advertising national campaign to spread the cultural of dialogue, in addition to "Bridges" project which aims for dialogue with international cultures.
Dr. Fahad Al-Sultan, the Vice Secretary General, briefed journalists on the various programs the Center such as the training programs, family dialogue and Ambassador program through which Saudi students meet foreign students in the Kingdom. Dr. Al-Sultan also mentioned that more than 160 thousand citizens has been trained by KACND.
