" The Center will represent a platform where religious communities, cultural organizations, and experts have the chance to exchange information and experiences, so as to support partnerships among stakeholders", Bin Muammar added. Members have also agreed upon conducting a number of workshops and preparatory seminars prior to the official inauguration of the Center. It is worth mentioning that King Abdullah International Center for Interfaith and Intercultural Dialogue started off after King Abdullah's initiative for interfaith and intercultural dialogue in 2008, with the support of the Austrian Republic and the Kingdom of Spain. The Center mainly aims at promoting dialogue among followers of faiths and cultures around the world to enhance coexistence and build up peace. In addition, it seeks to promote respect of religious symbols and holy lands.
